This is a ceramic project in the second term of the first year,mainly to learn the slip casting and the ceramic process. Also it was my first time to try to do ceramic job. This fruit plate I made has a special shape, designed aims to make people have fun in the process of placing fruits.

During the modelling process, I found that the negative shape of this bubble-shaped fruit plate looks just as good. I decided to make a pair of fruit plates, and they can overlap each other. In this design I give this pair of fruit plate some one-to-one corresponding meanings from their colour and shape. I think this makes the work more connotation.

This square shape is also more convenient for packaging, transportation and storage.
