Smart Scale 

This work should be a product designed for Alessi, but I finally turned it into a critical design. The background is that Alessi wants us to design a very future and innovative product for him, but I can’t come up with a qualified idea. So I started to reflect on whether the current design trend is good. Alessi wants to focus on how will our future like, I found lots of future product are smart devices, if every where are smart device in our life, its easy to know people will think less. Because smart devices always tell people what they should do, like health or food advice, this kind of interaction makes me feel like human are following devices’ order. Like our life are leading by those smart devices now. And those thinkings are the reason why I want to make this smart scale.

Smart devices have begun to gradually replace human thinking. Machines liberated people from tedious physical labour, and AI will liberated people from mental labour. Many people today have lost the habit of thinking. In the bombardment of information We simply don't have time to think. I think this is not a good signal for society, which inspired me to design such a product to oppose this social phenomenon.
